A leading insurance intermediary are currently seeking a security architect to join there rapidly expanding organisation, now with 4500 users.

The IT infrastructure is a diverse mix of technologies but based largely on the Microsoft platform.

Technical environment:

- Predominantly Microsoft Windows Server 2003 servers with Active Directory

- Citrix Presentation Server 4 delivery platform with HP Thin Client terminals

- Application development based on Microsoft .NET platform and SQL Server

- Diverse range of insurance related business system

The operational support function is ITIL aligned with Service Desk, Incident Management and Problem Management functions.

Reporting directly to the IT Director, the successful candidate will:

*own the remedial work and the future development and definition of Security within IT.

*Regulary audit / review environment.

*Operate independently of all other areas of IT acting as a reference point/ policing function for BAU and project work (60 to 100 projects per year - not all with security impact) .

*Own security issues around 3rd party suppliers and specifically with outsource partner for support

*Offer guidance to management staff

*Identify and manage/negate risk across IT

The successful applicant should have 3-5 years security experience and be from an environment with ongoing change, being able to assimilate information/changing landscape quickly and adapt.

The role is based in Romford with periodic need to travel to the London (City) office.
