Production Server Engineer, Network Gaming, Linux, Perl, London - My client requires a Production Server Engineer, to help support and develop the application and the processes around moving games through development to production. The candidate will have good Unix (Linux) system setup and administration skills, together with strong troubleshooting experience, having a logical and methodical way of working through a problem. Candidates will be troubleshooting issues by using networking, linux and application knowledge, while managing many workstreams and having several tasks ongoing at once. Other beneficial techncial skills are with Perl scripting for task automation, Oracle database connectivity and administration, PL/SQL knowledge and Web server environments including Apache Tomcat, with particular reference to JSP/servlet engines.
