A new a job vacancy has arisen for a professional and driven leader to build and manage a successful sales and business development team for the European region of a growing software development company. Based anywhere in the UK or Europe, with extensive EU and Global travel, this role will report directly to the COO for Europe, and is key to the continued success and growth of the organisation in Europe.
This VP level role holds full accountability for building the current sales operations in Europe to a successful and cohesive team of expert and professional sales managers, each confident enough to pitch at the most senior level with key client decision makers; Agentrics partners with clients to provide SaaS (Software as a Service), and already has a strong client presence within the EU region. The ideal applicant will therefore need to demonstrate considerable commercial and leadership expertise in order to credibly contribute to business strategy and performance.
Key to success in this position will be the ability to manage the relationship with clients, identify and exploit market leads and business opportunities, deliver against personal and team targets, and effectively manage a team of business development and account professionals who will be geographically spread through the region.
A prior sales-through-service background in partnership cultivation within the retail market or supply chain to retail (including manufacturing and logistics) is essential to hit the ground running in this role. Candidates must also demonstrate successful networking and superior relationship management skills, and effective leadership and development of successful sales and account management teams where profitable pipelines balance perfectly with client service and satisfaction.
Given that this is a senior customer facing European role, we feel we can insist on fluency in at least one other European language besides English, as well as proven grounding in European business/consumer cultures. Strong commercial business acumen, a genuine enjoyment of sales development, and natural leadership are essential; we feel that these attributes, combined with integrity, charisma and motivation to succeed are a key ingredient list.
