A 3rd line systems integration engineer will be required to help support the existing service desk on site in Farnborough, the position will be then moved to a different site in Salisbury so candidates need to be aware of this change during the 6 month contract.

The 3rd line systems integration engineer will ensure that all aspects of the service desk are running smoothly while managing and prioritising workload, escalating issues via management and third parties, and create and maintain documentation in compliance of ISO20000.

The 3rd line systems integration engineer will need to be experienced in the workings of a busy and central service desk. Software, hardware and systems are aspects that the 3rd line systems integration engineer will need to have experience of.

The 3rd line systems integration engineer will also be expected to be aware of ITIL, Prince, Ghost, RIS, WDS, Scripting, Powershell, CMD, TCP/IP, NT4, DHCP/DNS/LDAP, Infrastructure, SMS and VMware. A background in 3rd line support is essential, and previous roles within the public sector will also be beneficial.

Due to the nature of this role, the 3rd line systems integration engineer should also hold valid and current SC SECURITY CLEARANCE.
