VB.Net Programmer/DeveloperLocation: Warwick, West MidlandsSalary: ‚?32 - ‚?37,000 depending on experienceBenefits: Healthcare, Pension, 25 days holidayJob Type: Permanent, start January 2009Our client is regarded as the UK market leader in Safety, Health & Environmental software solutions they are currently seeking an experienced VB.Net Programmer/Developer to join their busy and expanding team. The company specialises in the provision of software to large organisations like British Sugar, Focus DIY, Red Bull, and Persimmon Homes. Based from their Warwick office the successful candidate must be degree educated or higher and have very good ASP.Net and VB.Net skills, you will be required to understand client¢??s business needs and be part of the team which capture and document their requirements. Once you have captured the requirements and received sign off from the client you will convert the functional specification into a technical specification. Successful candidates will also demonstrate:‚? Minimum of five years experience developing in a Windows, Web or Mobile environment‚? Experience of recent versions of VB.Net and ASP.Net, classic ASP an advantage‚? Experience using HTML, Javascript and AJAX‚? Experience of MS SQL server environments and RAD/Agile skills‚? Outgoing, flexible, organised and hard working‚? Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)‚? Educated to Degree level or higher win a relevant subject‚? Knowledge of Database Design and Development You will be integrating modifications and these new project enhancements and modules into a system with circa of half a million lines of code. It is likely that you will be working on 3 ¢?? 4 projects at any one time with separate clients. Another key requirement is the ability to contribute to design and product development discussions involving aspects ranging from minute interface level detail to high level hierarchy. The successful candidate will need to be a strong team player and have excellent client facing skills as s position will include taking requirements and delivering timeframes for projects with clients over the phone and in face to face situations.
