• Day to day supervision of small team of finance assistants
• Ledger management ¢?? controlling the purchase, sales and general ledgers and preparing complete and accurate trial balance
• Review all balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
• Assisting with the creation and maintenance of a new fixed asset register
• Responsibility for banking procedures, petty cash, foreign currency receipts and postings, and bank reconciliations
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Prepare monthly management accounts ¢?? profit and loss reports with related commentary regards variance analysis and statutory financial statements
• Assisting with the preparation of all the companies budgets, undertaking the ongoing monitoring of budgets, analysing variances between actuals and budgets and re-forecasting where appropriate
• Cashflow forecasting and monitoring both weekly and monthly reports
• Assist with year-end audit preparation
• Experienced of working with a large accounting package ¢?? SUN, SAP, JD Edwards, Agresso or Oracle is essential

• You will be at least part qualified ACCA, CIMA, CA or CIPFA
• Previous experience win a finance function working with group accounts
• Experience of charity accounting ¢?? funding, regulatory bodies, year end procedures
• Staff supervisory experience ¢?? you will possess the ability to supervise both staff and resources with excellent communication skills
• You will be proactive and able to work on your own initiative, seeking guidance when required
• Experienced of working with a large accounting package ¢?? SUN, SAP, JD Edwards, Agresso or Oracle
• You will be enthusiastic, self motivated, and professional with strong analytical skills and excellent interpersonal skills

• Salary between ‚?30,000 - ‚?35,000 dependant on experience
• 25 days annual leave with and additional 10.5 statutory/privilege days
• Contributory pension under the universities superannuating scheme (USS).
